The Rank for $ales Weekly Newsletter, page 2

(Continued)
In fact, some members in the room whispered that the meeting had a pretty tight agenda, and that advertisers (there were many) did most of the talking! I am really anxious to see how this whole thing evolves, and, as I said last week, I was'nt convinced to join SEMPO last year, and I am certainly even less convinced to join now...

Well, my three-week "mini vacation" from writing two new SEO articles a week ended this week, and today, as usual, you can read two new articles that, it is hoped, will help you improve your search engine visibility. Please note that a lot of work, a great deal of research and preparation goes into the writing of every week's articles that I produce. This goes also for this newsletter.

While I enjoy writing all of this and "giving something back" to the global community, I also appreciate hearing from you. If you have any questions, comments or queries on any of this, please email me. When possible, I respond to all my emails usually the same business day that I receive them. On the news front, this week was fairly average, with its usual share of search engine news. So, let's get right to them.

On Monday, C-Net News reported it is expected that, by around 2010, no less than a billion people will be on the Internet. However, generating a profit out of some of the newly wired portions of the world could be more difficult.

That number will be up from around 660 million to 670 million today, fueled primarily by new adopters in developing nations such as China, Russia and India, according to analysts. PC and software makers are ready to make new sales but have their work cut out for them. Poverty, unreliable energy supplies, a multiplicity of languages, regional laws and education levels are all potentially major obstacles.
